May 25th 

Whew ! - we just finished up after an awesome weekend at the Roc City Rib Fest. Saturday we competed with our ribs in the NEBS contest and took 25th of 62....I was happy with that !

KCBS competition was on Sunday, my best item was my pulled pork, It scored 11th of 45

Great time - make a point to attend next year!

Bookings are filling for 2009. I plan on doing an equal number of festivals. At some I will strictly sell sauce, at others I will vend ribs....I'll post a schedule when it fills out next month. As for BBq bookings, graduations etc....NOW IS THE TIME TO BOOK!....My prime dates are already mostly full.

General News 

10/6/08 Well, that about wraps

up the summer bbq season. A

special thanks to all my

customers and all the kind

people we met this summer....we

are blessed with your friendship

and kindness.

I'll be gearing up for next year,

working on getting the sauce in a

few more stores.

9/25/08 The website crashed

this morning, and all data was

lost. It's taken about 7 hrs to

restore. Yahoo said it would be

3-5 days for them to get to

it....so I just rebuilt it from

scratch....and made a backup....I

also created a duplicate site at

www.holy-smokes.biz, instead of

the original redirect.

9/22/08 Special thanks to the

DiPassio family on a wonderful

BBQ party. It was their son's

13th birthday- they had Pork

spare ribs...enough to feed an '

army ! LOL

Big News coming....! 

8/21/08 I'll be competing in a

local rib fest on 8/30 

8/16/08 A lovely day at

Parma Christian Fellowship....we

raised about $400 (WOOHOO)

for their building fund, and

Honduras team. We capped off a

great week of VBS, in which

they had over 150 children.

It was an awesome day - 75

degree, partly cloudy....and

great people....

Thanks Hilton !! We hope to

be back in late Sept. Someone

actually jogged by and said

they saw the article in the

Light and Life magazine LOL

known Gary (the owner) about 6

yrs now, and he is a real kind

gentleman, as is his family

Park ribfest yeaterday. I met

many fine "buccaneers". I did

notice something interesting

though..... look at the prices...all

I can say is wow !

...and the amazing part is...all of them sold out and had to order more pork

process, oh boy did it smell

magazine article in "Light and

Life". 

4/30/08 We pick up a new

batch of sauce this coming

week. It is really starting to

move well. We were inspected

by the MCHD last week and got

an all thumbs up for the 2008

smokin' season.

We have some booking dates

new product..called "Apple

Slapple" ....it's a dry rub

for baby back ribs and pork

chops ! Hopefully, we'll have

some samples for everyone
